TOOTHBRUSHES

toothbrushes, sejma, collage detail

In Toothbrushes, there is an idea of recycling by making small assemblages from packaging for toothbrushes and old magazines and papers.

After having been wrapping of toothbrushes, they become unwrapping of small worlds. Inside the transparent packing, parts of images are sampled in new shapes, making the game of associations, creating visual metaphors... everything here is open for change, presented in montaged and disassembled way.

When finished, assemblages are scanned on computer, enlarged, printed on paper and glued on wooden plank in dimensions 8x45cm. Now there is around 30 different Toothbrushes and their number grows.

Toothbrushes were first exhibited in 2005, as part of art book project "Raspad sistema" (''System disintegration''), a collaboration with visual artist Milica Rakic and poet  Dragana Mladenovic.

As solo project they were exhibited in 2006 in gallery Pixie in Lannion,France and

in September 2008 in Rdeca Gallery in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
